Governor Reminds Us, "One vote can make a difference"
-President Lyndon Johnson called voting 'the first duty of democracy.'
But if a majority of Americans are not even fulfilling the most
basic requirement of citizenship. . . then they are not likely to
be involved in the many other duties and responsibilities of maintaining
a democratic society." How can we maintain a democracy if only 40%
of the people participate?
